Newest Version of Linux Released Today - April 25, 2008
Grab your copy and get started with Linux. Face it, Vista sucks and Linux is now usable for the average user. The desktop is sweet, fast and customizable. Open Office is available, so you don't have to pay for MS Office for the same capability.
Kubuntu is a user friendly operating
system based on KDE, the K Desktop Environment. With a predictable
six month release cycle and as part of the Ubuntu project, Kubuntu is the GNU/Linux distribution for everyone.
Kubuntu 8.04 consists of two different releases, the commercially
supported one featuring the stable KDE 3.5.9 desktop and a remix
featuring the latest release of KDE 4.0. Download
or upgrade.
It's easy to install from Windows now and you can Dual Boot, so you don't have to kill your Windows, at first anyway! If you're used to using MS Windows then I find the Kubuntu KDE release to be the easiest transition.
Try it. What do you have to lose except paying lots of money to see a blue screen of death every other day?
Here's a good demo of Ubuntu; this uses the Gnome window manager but gives a great view of the user experience when using Linux. It's also great because in the beginning you see an example of Electronic Sheep (see earlier post here ).

Can your Windows do this? (While making a screen cast and still being fully functional to boot?)
You have to kill to survive. People have been doing it forever. I eat meat, and I eat fish. If I were on a deserted island I would need that to survive.
