Remember the guy in the wheelchair in Slingblade? That guy is Vic Chesnutt, singer, songwriter, recovering alcoholic, among many things. From the movie Slingblade you would never know how talented he is musically and poetically. I found one of his performances online at SouthernShelter.com from the 40 Watt in Athens, Georgia. Siouxsie and the Banshees started out of the punk scene in the mid 70. In the 80's and 90's she refined herself from the punk sound. She has continued to release music and I find her talent with lyrics to be amazing. I found this video on youtube that has one of my favorite songs on it. The video sucks but you can at least listen to her sound. This is from an older album, but she just released a new album titled "Mantaray" in 2007.
